Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada raises funds to provide vital services and programs for the brain tumour community. We also lead research into the cause of and cure for this devastating disease through a variety of funding opportunities, including the Brain Tumour Research Studentship. Successful applicants will receive $10,000 over two years ($5,000 per summer).

Calling all researchers! Our 2024 Brain Tumour Research Fellowship is now open and accepting applications.


We hope this fellowship will help improve the quality of life of patients and survivors, encourage young clinicians and scientists to enter the field of brain tumour research, and accelerate studies leading to a cure of brain tumours.

DECRYPT Research Grant

We are pleased to announce the awardee of the inaugural 2023 DECRYPT Research Grant, Dr. Annie Huang and colleagues, for their research project titled "A C17babybrains DECRYPT Feasibility Trial for Children <6 Years Old with High-Risk Embryonal Brain Tumours", in collaboration with Kindred Foundation, Société de recherche sur le cancer / Cancer Research Society, Phoebe Rose Rocks Foundation, Miracle Marnie Foundation , Childhood Cancer Canada, and Tali's Fund.


The DECRYPT grant is designed to fund research that will ideally lead to a significant change in the understanding, diagnosis, and/or treatment of childhood embryonal brain tumours.
