The Brain Tumor Funders' Collaborative (BTFC) is proud to offer two-year, $500,000 multi-institutional grants to support ground-breaking research aimed at advancing liquid biopsy for patients with primary human brain tumors.

These grants are designed to drive research forward, with a focus on one or more key areas:

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Every day, 27 Canadians are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Brain tumours are unpredictable and complex. They can affect vision, hearing, memory, balance and mobility. Their effects are physical, emotional, financial, and last a lifetime.


Our vision is to find the cause of and a cure for brain tumours while improving the quality of life for those affected. Research is the key to achieving our vision.

Explore funding opportunities

Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada raises funds to provide vital services and programs for the brain tumour community. We also lead research into the cause of and cure for this devastating disease through a variety of funding opportunities, including the Brain Tumour Research Studentship.


This award provides students with opportunities to gain experience in brain tumour research and its research methods. Successful applicants will receive $10,000 over two years ($5,000 per summer).

Our Brain Tumour Research Fellowship is now open and accepting applications.


This Fellowship is being offered to help us with our vision to find the cause of and cure for brain tumours, while improving the quality of life for those we serve. Also, in recognition of the critical need for increased focus on brain tumour research.


This Fellowship encourages and enables young clinicians and scientists to enter the field of brain tumour research and accelerate studies leading to a cure for brain tumours.

Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is proud to partner up with the American Brain Tumor Association on annual Discovery Grants!


Discovery Grants are one-year, $50,000 grants for high risk, high impact research with the potential to change current diagnostic or treatment models.

Grants are intended to provide seed-funding for early-stage faculty-level researchers to develop their new ideas and to get the preliminary data needed to apply for larger grants. 


Letters of Intent for 2025 funding are closed. We are happy to share the results as they are available.
