Landings Landlovers
Enriching the Community We Love
|
|
Thanksgiving is right around the corner. We hope that many of you will be able to resume your holiday traditions or create new ones on our beautiful island.
Landlovers is gearing up for its holiday festivities. This year you will see our members at several on- island events. Our newly imagined Holiday Soiree will be held at Palmetto on December 7, 2021. Each year we challenge ourselves to create a holiday event which is both unique and memorable. Please join us this year as we sing holiday carols, listen to a talented trio of musicians, and enjoy the company of our neighbors as we sip holiday cheer.
We will also be Ringing the Bell for the Salvation Army at the Village Walk Pharmacy, and decorating the Tiki Bar and serving hot chocolate at the Golf Cart Parade. Details regarding each of these events can be found on our website and in this newsletter. Please come celebrate with us! If you are unable to attend, we urge you to consider a donation to our philanthropic efforts by clicking here to donate.
Landlovers is always thankful for its corporate sponsors. Without their financial and in-kind support, we would be unable le to reach our fundraising goals or provide grants to the entities that serve and support our island or scholarships to well-deserving students affiliated with our community.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS, LANDLOVERS!
Best regards,
Marian Mackle

Volunteer to be a Salvation Army bell ringer on Skidaway Island!
|
|
Landlovers will once again be bell ringing for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign in front of the Village Walk Pharmacy. Last year we raised over $3,000. Our goal this year is to raise over $4,000. Donations in the red kettle stay local - funds raised make a year-round impact in the community by helping residents in their time of need. When you ring the bell, you’re making change happen.
We are ringing on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from November 26 to December 20 in front of the Village Walk Pharmacy. It’s easy to do. Just bring your smile, holiday cheer, and say a big THANK YOU to anyone dropping money into the kettle. Bells, and red aprons provided. Feel free to add your own festive attire and headwear! Tell your friends when you’re ringing so they can stop by to donate. This proved to be a very successful strategy last year and lead to one of the biggest Red Kettle days ever for the Salvation Army in Savannah.
and adding your name to the day and time slot you want on the shared Google Spread sheet. Or, contact Chris Lanigan at [email protected] and she will help you register. Questions? Contact Chris Lanigan at [email protected] or go to the FAQ’s on the registertoring.com website.
Sign up today and be part of making change happen in Savannah!
