Help Support VegMichigan's Huge Vegan Food Giveaway
VegMichigan's food giveaway has gotten off to a great start. It's so popular we can barely keep up with the demand. For this initiative, we simply deliver a box of popular vegan food items to students who are new to plant-based eating. We also include great resources for students to learn about the benefits of plant-based eating. What we have learned during the first month of the program is that the idea of plant-based eating is a completely new concept to many students, and our giveaway program has been a nice way to introduce them to plant-based foods.
Our free gift pack includes a Beyond Burger, Daiya Cheezy Mac, a free pizza voucher for Cottage Inn, and other great items. We are working with suppliers to get discounts and donations, but each pack still costs VegMichigan approximately $13, and our goal is to distribute more than 100 free packs each month.
Please consider making a donation that will go directly to the purchase of more food items, or if you would like to donate food items directly we would appreciate that too! (Contact tom@vegmichigan.org.) We have a huge giveaway scheduled for volunteers and staff at the Humane Society of Huron Valley this month, and we could really use some donations of Daiya Cheddar Style Cheezy Mac. Thank you for your support. Please consider donating!

Wrapping Up 2020: A Send Off To a Very Unusual Year
We have finally made it to the end of 2020. It has been a pretty difficult year, and most of us have been through a lot of challenging stuff. Most people are just trying to maintain a positive outlook right now and do the best we can to ride this out. After the year we’ve had, I think that is good enough. For December, I have a few suggestions for incorporating healthy habits into the holidays. My hope is that we remember to do our best to take care of ourselves, but most importantly we enjoy the many great things about the season and stay hopeful for better things to come in 2021. Read the blog.
