Resources for Veterans November included several key dates for our Veterans, including the Marine Corps' 245th Birthday, and Veterans Day. Our office has compiled a list of local organizations providing benefits to our country's bravest. Stimulus Check Information Have you received your stimulus check? If you missed the Nov. 21st, 2020 deadline, you’ll have to file a 2020 federal income tax return to claim your credit. If you filed a 2019 or 2018 federal income tax return and didn’t receive a stimulus check – or if you registered with the IRS and didn’t get a check – you can use the IRS Get My Payment tool to check its status.

Advocacy Letters In November, there were several letters drafted to agencies to ensure every Texan's wellbeing. Texas House of Representatives Letter to Commissioner Morath (TEA) to Request the Seeking of Federal Waivers Necessary from the US Department of Education to cancel the STAAR Exams for the 2020-2021 School Year. House Democratic Caucus Letter to Administrator Emily Murphy to Encourager Her to Comply with the Presidential Transition Act.
