VEBF Distributes Cash to POA Hourly Employees
Message from the President
We are pleased to announce the annual fundraising period for the Village Employees Benefit Fund was successful, due to the generosity of so many Village residents. We are able to say “Thank you” to our full-time hourly workers with a $320 cash Appreciation gift, and a $160 gift to our part time hourly workers.
The distribution of the cash envelopes occurred on Friday, December 8, during the annual POA Employee Christmas luncheon in the Coronado Center. The photos below show just a few of the hundreds of employees lined up at our tables to receive their Appreciation gifts from our board members and Platinum-level ($1000) business sponsors.
Since a few more donations are still trickling in, I’ll wait until the January newsletter to provide additional information and discuss some of the metrics we look at to gauge success, as we literally close the books on 2023 at the end of December.
I’ll also be able to report on some initiatives we will be undertaking in 2024, including the election of board officers and the addition of new board members.
Until January, then, please enjoy these pictures from our annual Appreciation Day for our POA hourly employees.
From all your VEBF board members, many thanks for a great year in 2023, and to you and your families, we wish a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
And remember: “Nothing happens in Hot Springs Village, until a POA employee comes to work.”
John Chapman - Board President, VEBF
