A Message from ISA’s Women in Industry Chair, Molly Langdon

Happy Holidays to all of our amazing Women in Industry! Looking back on this past year, I am reflecting on how fortunate I am to be part of such an amazing group. I am thankful for every woman in our industry who gets up every day, meets the challenges of not only their job but other obstacles that may come along with it, and contributes to making their workplace better for others. We are strong on our own, but a mighty force when we come together.

I am thankful for ISA and the member companies that support the WII mission to create equality and advancement for all. I am especially thankful for our WII Leadership Team and their commitment to creating a space where we can come together, share stories, learn skills, ask for and give help, and improve ourselves personally and professionally. More opportunities to volunteer, engage, learn, and give back are on their way next year!

I hope you all have a peaceful holiday season filled with joy and love. Don’t forget to take time for you – whatever that might look like. See you all in 2024!

WII Leadership:

What's Your Favorite Holiday Tradition?

Kristin Kraai-Keely, Safety Products Global:

"One of my favorite Thanksgiving memories is when my mom, my sisters, and our kids would gather to meal prep the day before Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful chance to make family recipes, catch up with each other, and have some girl time before gathering the whole family together on Thanksgiving Day."

Lynn Manzella Decker, Stanley Black & Decker:

"One of our traditions at our home is to have our dessert in front of a roaring fire with lots of candles while watching a movie. For Thanksgiving, it is being grateful with “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and for Christmas, “A Christmas Story.” As my children get older it’s time that has become more and more precious to me. Simple but one we all seem to make time for."

Sonia Timmons, Vallen:

"My favorite holiday tradition is Christmas day breakfast with Christmas-themed family-friendly games!!"

Kristen Smith, Pro Line Products, Inc:

"This is one of my favorite times of the year. The holidays are a time to slow down, put things into perspective, and find a sense of gratitude for all the things this life has to offer."
