Tara Layne
772.321.4303

Tara Layne has lived in Vero Beach for over 38 years. Her family moved to Vero Beach from Illinois. She has had the opportunity to watch the transformation and growth in Indian River County. Although the town has grown exponentially since that time, she appreciates the charm that Vero Beach still has to offer.
Tara studied and earned a degree in Paralegal Studies and Criminal Justice. She finds that her paralegal studies enhance her work as a realtor and set her apart from others in her field.
Tara is on the Vero Beach Museum of Art Committee for Fashion Meets Art. Tara can often be found on the tennis courts with her father at Vero Beach Tennis and Fitness. Tara has also joined the county tennis league where she enjoys meeting other avid tennis players and friendly competition.
Tara is married with three children and two adorable Cavachons, Max and Ruby. Her husband, Scott Layne moved from Long Island in 1993. He is the design partner in the architectural firm of Moulton Layne, PL. Her daughter, Laynie, is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in residential and commercial interior design and is working in Atlanta. Her son, Tanner is a Flight graduate from Skyborne Airline Academy in Vero Beach, and Gardner is a freshman at the University of Louisville. In their spare time they enjoy getaways to the couple's home in Woodstock, Vermont.

CRACKER TRAILS: DAY TRIP IDEAS
A FESTIVE VISIT TO THE BOK TOWER GARDENS

Voted Florida's best garden, Bok Tower Gardens is a National Historic Landmark located 10 miles from Legoland Florida, 55 miles southwest of Orlando, and 60 miles east of Tampa near Lake Wales in Central Florida's rolling hills of citrus. Open every day of the year from 8 AM to 5 PM. The Visitor Center, Cafe, and Gift Shop are open from 9 AM to 5 PM. Admission is $14 for adults and $5 for ages 5-12. Members and children under 5 are admitted free. Legoland ticket holders will receive free admission for children under 12.
Home For the Holidays

The gem of Bok Tower Gardens holiday festivities, the 20-room, 1932 Mediterranean-style Pinewood Estate is a step back in time to the grandeur and glamour of a bygone era. Learn more about this fascinating period in American history through the eyes of C. Austin Buck and his family, one of America's true steel dynasties.

The estate's decorations change each Christmas, and no two years are ever the same. For the 2018-19 edition, Journey Home for the Holidays to the postwar 1940s as the Buck family opens the doors of their winter retreat to celebrate with their friends and family from the Mountain Lake and Lake Wales community. Sisters Lucy Buck Fox and Dorothy Buck O'Brien are overseeing the decorating and every room of their cherished home features magnificent Christmas decorations, sumptuous garlands, ribbons, trees and holiday finery capturing the grandeur of the season.
Adding Sparkle to a National Historic Landmark

Inspired by the history and beauty of Pinewood Estate, members of The Amaryllis Club are once again decorating the entire estate and the entry gates. A volunteer patron group, their mission is to promote and preserve the heritage and vintage style of this historic home, and to take on other special projects on behalf of the Gardens. Patti Bostick, the lead designer for The Amaryllis Society's decorating team, said the Club's main intent was to maintain the integrity of the house in their designs and to make sure the decorations emphasize the home's architecture, beauty, and style.
A Holiday Hunt for the Whole Family

Children are encouraged to tour the historic estate and participate in a fun hunt for a family of Pinewood Christmas squirrels Tucker and Tilly who are hiding throughout the Estate. For convenient snacks and drinks, visitors can enjoy Pinewood Place located adjacent to the Estate and open from 11 AM to 4 PM daily through January 6, 2022. Following the Christmas season, Pinewood Estate will reopen to daily tours later in January.

There is no better time to add a little Lego magic to your family vacation and build memories and traditions to last a lifetime. Visit the Holiday Village Postal Service to send your letters to Lego Santa, rock around the giant Lego tree to holiday tunes, and take "elfies" with your favorite holiday Lego characters. Don't miss ringing in the new year with colorful bursts of Lego bricks fireworks over Lake Eloise at an earlier, kid-friendly celebration time.
