Chief Executive Officer

I recognize how difficult and exhausting this year has been for so many of our families and community members. The pandemic changed the way we live, learn, work and socialize. Despite all of the challenges that faced us, The Arc of Cape May County set new milestones and implemented new ways to better serve our residents and day program participants. From upgrading our technology in our group homes to purchasing and renovating a group home, our agency has continued to find new ways to enhance our services and meet the changing needs of those we serve.

I have been in awe of how our staff and the community met all of the year's challenges head-on with dedication, creativity, perseverance, and empathy. Everyone has worked tirelessly to pursue our mission providing high quality services to people with I/DD and their families.

From all of us at The Arc of Cape May County, I wish everyone a safe and Happy Holidays and a great New Year!

Congratulations Robin Watson!

Robin Watson, our Chief Program Officer, was named one of the Heroes of 2020 from The Arc of New Jersey! We are so proud and grateful for all of Robin's efforts during one of the most challenging year the agency has ever faced. Her resiliency, determination, and positive attitude have inspired all of the staff to keep moving forward and continue to serve people with I/DD. To read Robin's nomination, please click here!

Our New Group Home

We are thrilled to share the purchase of our newest group home located in Cape May Courthouse! This new home puts the agency on a path to meeting the changing needs of our residents for the entire arc of their lifetimes. We have begun the renovation process that will make the home more accessible and comfortable for the residents who will be moving in. The agency is looking to have renovations completed by Summer 2021 and will continue to share renovation updates with the community.

The Arc Thrift Store is now on Poshmark!!

Our Thrift Store is adding online shopping opportunities for customers to purchase items from the comfort of their homes while helping to further The Arc's mission! The store opened a page on Poshmark, where we have some great clothing finds for a great price! Click here to shop online today!

Record Breaking #GivingTuesday Success!

On Tuesday December 1, The Arc of Cape May County celebrated #GivingTuesday, a global movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities. Thanks to the nearly 100 donors and Sturdy Bank's matching award, The Arc raised an astounding $21,480! Contributions from #GivingTuesday will ensure each group home has the technology and resources it needs to better engage with their family and peers, receive telemedicine services, and ensure our staff and residents have the necessary PPE to keep everyone safe.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to us thus far. While there are just a few days left in the year, The Arc of Cape May County is still fighting to maintain the resources needed for the people we support due the impacts COVID-19.
