Required Standard Protocol Submission to the AL BON

All CRNPs are required to submit signed copies of the Standard Protocol (based on national certification) and Quality Assurance Plan for each collaboration in which they are involved. Send signed documents to All documents must be on file to the end of Renewal on Monday, December 31, 2018. 

Steps to follow- Go to Alabama Board of Nursing website
1. Click Nurses
2. Click Advanced Practice Nurses
3. Click on Resources
4. Click on Collaborative Practice Quality Assurance (see the example below the form)
5. Click the Standard Protocol and select your NP specialty – complete the document
6. Email to by December 31, 2018.

NPAA Officer Slots for 2019
Want to be more involved in YOUR state organization? Now is the time to consider running for an elected office in 2019. You must be a member of NPAA to be considered to run for office.

Office’s to be slated for 2019-2021 are:
President – Elect – this officer will begin to serve following in 2019 conference and will
work closely with the President for two years and then assume the office of President.
(two-year term)
VP of membership – this officer work closely with the Administrative Director of NPAA
to represent NPAA at events and to increase membership in NPAA. (two-year term)
Secretary – this officer is charged with the recording of all meetings (live and virtual) and
submitting the minutes to be posted to the web site in a timely manner. (two-year term)
Member at Large – this officer is a member elected from the state membership. Attends
all meetings of the Steering Committee and is a member of the Executive Committee.
(two-year term)
Student Members – students enrolled in a NP program in the State. This member
represents the interests of students throughout the state. (one year term)
