Mood Boost Program Teaches Students

About the Connection Between Food and Mood

On November 7th Chartwells K12 hosted the program Mood Boost LIVE! Chartwells K12 Chef Joe demonstrated a new Mood Boost Recipe, “Raspberry Confetti Coleslaw” with the help of all Alice ISD elementary school mascots! This delicious side entree was an additional lunch option for elementary students that day. All students also received a Mood Boost goodie bag that included an “I’m Happy Sticker,” a happy Mood Boost trading card, and an activity sheet.

The Mood Boost program is designed to help students make the connection between what they eat and how they feel. The recipe helps make the connection to foods that assist in creating happiness. Thank you to all who contributed to the success of this event, thank you to all elementary school mascots, school principals, Alice ISD Media, and the Alice ISD IT department.
