Visit the NOVA Tree at the Pearl S. Buck Festival of Trees! Each year during the Annual Festival of Trees, the historic rooms of Pearl S. Buck’s stone farmhouse come alive with the sparkle and charm of the Annual Festival of Trees.
This beloved Bucks County tradition features beautifully decorated trees created by local community groups, artists, and designers. NOVA and NOVA Thrift Shop are thrilled to once again be part of the celebration! From November 12th to January 4th, be sure to stop by our tree in the living room and cast your vote for your favorite display.
| | We're Always Accepting New Volunteers! Looking for a meaningful way to give back to the community? NOVA Thrift Shop is always on the lookout for dedicated volunteers to help us make a difference! Whether you love sorting unique thrift finds, organizing displays, assisting customers, or working behind the scenes, there’s a place for you on our team. If you are interested in volunteering, you can inquire at the shop or call Maria White, Thrift Shop Manager, at 215-249-8000. | | |
A Reminder Regarding Donations: We’re always grateful for donations and encourage donors to consider the condition of their items, especially hard goods. While we can recycle textiles, unsellable hard goods ultimately need to be disposed of, which impacts our resources. Please note that items with cracks, chips, or other damage can’t be resold. We have the right to reject items if broken, damaged, or heavily soiled.
For the safety of our team, we also kindly ask that if you're donating a heavy item, please bring someone along to help with lifting. We also ask that individual bags of clothing weigh no more than 30 pounds each.
Be sure to check out our donation guidelines to see what we can and cannot accept! Thank you for your generosity and for helping us provide quality items to our community.

The Huge Thrift Store In Pennsylvania That'll Make You Rethink What $38 Can Buy | Budget-conscious shoppers in Pennsylvania are stretching their dollars further at this expansive secondhand haven where $38 transforms into an impressive haul. | | | | | Give the Gift of Hope and Healing This Holiday Season | | |
As we turn our thoughts toward the season of giving, hope, and renewal, we want to begin with a heartfelt thank you. Because of community support; NOVA has been a steady presence in Bucks County for more than 50 years, standing beside individuals and families who have experienced trauma, victimization, and crisis. This generosity has ensured that no one faces these challenges alone.
And yet, this year, more than ever, we are at a crossroads.
The lengthy delay in passing the state budget, combined with stagnant and reduced funding from local, state, and federal sources, has created deep challenges for organizations across Pennsylvania. For NOVA, the need is especially urgent. While the number of people seeking our services has remained steady, the depth and complexity of the trauma we’re responding to has grown significantly. More survivors are experiencing multiple forms of victimization layered with mental health challenges, financial strain, and housing insecurity.
In short: we are doing more with less. But we cannot continue without the support of caring individuals like you.
NOVA is the only organization in Bucks County that provides comprehensive, specialized services to victims of crime across the lifespan, from children and teens to adults and the elderly. When a person’s life is upended by violence, NOVA is the one place they can turn for safety, healing, and hope.
Each year, we stand beside victims of homicide, sexual assault, human trafficking, robbery, scams targeting the elderly, DUI crashes, and child abuse. Behind every number is a story like this one:
“It is not an understatement to say NOVA’s resources saved my life. [NOVA] was there for us in our darkest hour.”
This season, we invite you to join us in bringing peace, safety, and empowerment to our community. As NOVA works to meet growing needs with limited resources, your year-end gift will make an immediate and meaningful difference, helping ensure that no voice goes unheard, no survivor is turned away, and no vital service is left unfunded.
On behalf of everyone at NOVA, thank you for standing with us. Thank you for believing that every person in our community deserves comfort, justice, and hope.

As we move into the heart of the holiday season, December brings the joy of giving, gathering, and celebrating traditions old and new. It can also bring an overwhelming amount of paper, packaging, and plastic that quickly gets thrown away. This month, NOVA Thrift Shop invites you to choose a more mindful approach to gifting by exploring eco-friendly ways to wrap your presents.
Wrapping gifts sustainably can be simple and beautiful. Instead of single-use paper, consider wrapping with thrifted scarves, colorful fabric remnants, or vintage linens. Baskets and tins make charming containers that can be enjoyed long after the holiday ends. Mason jars are perfect for homemade treats, small trinkets, or creative gift kits. These reusable options bring an added touch of personality and thoughtfulness to every present!
Choosing these materials benefits more than the planet. Each thrifted item you use supports NOVA’s mission and helps fund services for victims and survivors of crime in Bucks County, as well as community prevention education programs. Your holiday choices can create ripples of care throughout the community.
This December, let your gifts reflect creativity, sustainability, and compassion. With a little inspiration from NOVA Thrift Shop, you can celebrate the season in a way that honors the people you love and the world we all share.
