January 4 – Missouri House of Representatives 102nd General Assembly - Swearing in ceremony for two Platte County Democratic Representatives! They are Jamie Johnson - 12th District and Ashley Aune - 14th District viewable at 12:00 Noon at https://house.mo.gov/.

January 9 - Platte County Federated Women's Democratic Club, Platte County Resource Center, 11724 NW Plaza Circle, KCMO. 6:30 pm.

January 12 - Kick off 2023 with Missouri House Democrats, Classic Cup, KCMO. Info.

January 17 - Northland Democratic Club, ACA Business Club, 1400 NW Vivion Road, KCMO. 7:00 pm.

January 19 - Platte County Democratic Central Committee, Platte County Resource Center, 11724 NW Plaza Circle, KCMO. 7:00 pm.

February 25 - Clay County’s Winterfest Luncheon at the Harrah’s Hotel, 1 Riverboat Drive, Kansas City, and registration begins at 11:30 a.m.

March 12 - Platte County’s Music and Mimosas at the Argosy Casino - watch for details.

Platte County Federated Women's Democratic Club
The Platte County Democratic Women’s Club met at the Platte County Resource Center on December 12, 2022. Guest speakers were KCMO City Council candidates: Lindsey French – 2nd District at Large, Michael Kelly – 5th District At Large, Darron Story – 3rd District At Large, and Chris Gahagan – 2nd District.

Ashley Aune has been elected Minority Whip and Jamie Johnson as Chair of Policy for the Democratic Caucus.

The January 9th meeting will feature City Council candidates Justin Short – 4th District At Large, Wes Roger – 1st District and Kevin O’Neal – 1st District At Large. The January meeting will also be an opportunity to discuss goals and priorities for 2023 and election year 2024.

Plans are underway for this year’s fundraiser “Music and Mimosas”. The event will be a luncheon at the Argosy Casino on March 12. The next meeting of the Central Committee will be on January 17 at the Platte County Resource Center.
