Susan Baillie

A true flower child at heart, Susan Baillie has a creative green thumb. She once owned a ceramics business and now integrates ceramics with the outdoors by combining vintage and antique dishware on copper stakes creating larger-than-life flowers for your garden. Baillie takes it a step further by making seascape sculptures out of driftwood and sea glass to house air plants. She also designs crystal festoons out of quartz and natural stones wrapped in copper wiring to add decoration to any home or garden. Her current ambition is to learn traditional silversmithing to add to her repertoire of artistic skills. Come by The Abode to see her bohemian creations and take home some earthly treasures!

We carry brushes, gilding wax, colored wax, lacquers, and so much more! All the furniture you see at The Abode is painted using this specialized paint. During your next visit here, take a moment to notice the furniture we use in the store and step into the paint room to see the large inventory we carry as an official distributor of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint®.

What's Happening?

Toy Drive 11/28 - 12/20

Give children in need a meaningful gift by providing new, unused, and unwrapped toys for them to play with. We will be accepting toy donations in front of The Abode until December 20th. We are working alongside Orange County Fire Authority in participation with the Spark of Love Toy Drive. Donate today and warm a child’s heart this holiday season!

Handmade Ornament Contest

Come show off your creative skills this season at The Abode. Join in on the festive fun and participate in our handmade ornament contest! Create your own hand-crafted ornament and submit it to The Abode by December 16th. All ornaments must include a hook and must be able to hang on a pine tree. One ornament submission per person. All ages are welcome to join. Stop by to vote for your favorite ornament between December 17th-23rd. We’ll announce the top three winners on Christmas Eve. Have fun and let your imagination roam free!

Puttin' on the Glitz on 12/3

Stop by The Abode during San Clemente’s annual Puttin’ on the Glitz event. The fun and festivities begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 3rd. Shop during the event and enjoy a 20% discount, plus free wine tickets and raffle entries for our December giveaway. Wine will be served by Erick Allen from Ascension Cellars. Together for the Holidays

The culmination of the year ends with a gathering of warm affection and sharing of love. We reflect back on the whole year and talk about the changes we experienced along the way. Auld Lang Syne or “old long since” means times gone by, and as we celebrate the holidays together may we remember the holidays we shared in the past with family and friends. Let us not forget the ones who have come and gone, and may their memory be forever felt. We should reminisce and cherish the good ole days. So, as we come together and revel in the love, may we recognize where we’ve come from and look forward to the exciting unknown ahead.
