The Goodfellows of Clintonville and Marion held their first Winter Clothing Distribution event on Saturday November 5^th at the Clintonville Public Library. By all accounts, the first time event was a resounding success as over 150 coats were distributed to children ages 18 and under who are residents of the Clintonville and Marion school districts.

In addition, nearly 90 pairs of snow pants and a like number pair of boots were distributed along with winter hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens.

Depicted here are Goodfellows volunteers Tracy Sirna and Lori Mattes as they help out a couple of young ladies as well as a happy young man with his new winter coat!

Holidays are often difficult for people who have experienced the death of a loved one. The sounds, sights and smells of the holiday season may trigger feelings of sadness, loss, emptiness and anxiety. Traditionally being a time of family togetherness, sharing and thanksgiving, this season may bring feelings of loss different from what you experience in your daily routine.
