A Word From the Kids

"I love the Choir School because there's a lot of fun people and it's a happy community. It's important to me because I want to be a singer myself. It really helps you with your voice and it gives you the freedom to do anything you want."

Shane, age 12. He joined the Choir School in Summer 2023, where he played the role of Lucas Beineke in The Addams Family.

What's New at the Choir School?

The holidays are in full swing! We kicked off the season on December 7th with Light Up the Village, our neighborhood tree lighting ceremony hosted by Old Brandywine Village. We led caroling and provided a festive performance, and we shared the stage with special guests Mayor Purzycki and Santa!

Sounds of the Season, our annual holiday concert, took place on December 9th. This beloved tradition celebrated Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the New Year, and the winter season. In keeping with the theme of our Greatest Hits Concert Season, the music was selected by request of audience members and singers! Highlights included selections from Handel's Messiah, a setting of "Still, Still, Still" that has been performed since our Cathedral days, and "Seven Principles" by Sweet Honey in the Rock.
