Making good choices around the holidays can be a challenge. We're here to help steer your reindeer in the right direction with our newest seasonal beer,
Choice Pils. Keep everyone merry and bright with this light(er) beer, because we all know how Uncle Steve gets when he has too many imperial stouts...
Choice Pils is brewed in the tradition of classic German pilsners with our own dangerous twists. We use fine German malts and pure Lake Superior water for a great start, and finish with Saaz and Cascade hops for a floral, citrusy, and spicy zing. We chose to blend a classic European style with American craft brewing ingenuity. Here’s to making good choices.

SOMETHING SPECIAL
Taproom Series beers are our experimental offerings directly from our team of brewers. Like Santa's elves, our brewers work hard all year long to bring you dangerously good ales. Our Taproom Series gives them the opportunity to branch out from making
toys our staples and brew something special for you.
Currently, we have the following Taproom Series beers pouring at our taproom in Two Harbors and at select locations around Minnesota.
Smoked Helles, a traditional, easy-drinking German beer variety that is light in color while maintaining a rich body and maltiness.
Orange Pale Ale, a classic “North Shore Style” pale ale, with a bold hop aroma and bitterness supported by a slightly caramel maltiness. And
Maple Märzen, a traditional lager style with an added Northwoods twist with the addition of locally-sourced maple syrup.

WHAT CHILD IS THIS?
Child, you say? More like Lady Boss Taproom Manager Caitlin White.
Caitlin has been with us for a little over four years. After leaving a previous position, she was in search of a local, growing small business to work for. Luckily, we were hiring. After a few interviews and a pint of
Mosaic Fresh Hop IPA, Caitlin knew this was the place for her. (We thought she was pretty great, too.)
Caitlin says the best parts of her job as the Taproom Manager are working with wonderful people and being a part of a small business in a growing industry. "There's always something new to learn and taste!"
Caitlin's favorite/crazy memory at CDB thus far was her first beer festival, All Pints North 2015. Caitlin recalls, "I had helped pour beer all day, meeting hundreds of people and seeing how much they enjoy our beer. After the festival ended, our entire team decided to shotgun a beer in celebration. There were people staring but we didn't care. It was a great end to a great day!"
Oh what fun it is to have Caitlin as our Taproom Manager. She Run, Rudolph, Run-s the taproom and makes it look easy. We are so appreciative of the work she does for Team Danger.

HARK! WE HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT
Danger Ale is a very special beer to Castle Danger Brewery. It was our first brew as an official brewery and has sentimental significance to us, as well as many of you. Due to Danger's unique set of ingredients, most notably the yeast strain, we have come to the realization that we do not brew it frequently enough to keep the yeast happy (and everyone loves happy yeast). Thus, after 2018, we will be retiring Danger Ale from our year-round lineup.
The retirement of Danger Ale from our beer offerings was an incredibly difficult decision, and we did not make it lightly. We understand that this news will be a shock and disappointment to some of you. Know that our overall goal is to provide you the very best dangerously good ales, and due to the uniqueness of Danger Ale, this was becoming a challenge to achieve. We look forward to brewing exciting new beers for you in the future!

DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR?
Our taproom will be
closing early on Saturday,
December 8th for our annual employee holiday party. Our hours that day will be
12 pm-4 pm. We will also be
closed on
Christmas Eve (12/24) and
Christmas Day (12/25). We hope that you enjoy this time with your family and friends!

last day to ship to get your items by Christmas is

Finally, we are running our
Last Minute Shopping Week taproom promotion again this year. Oh Come All Ye Faithful to the taproom from
December 16th - 22nd, spend $25 on taproom merchandise, and get a pint on the house.

TWO HARBORS VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS
Mary, Did You Know? Our Pints for a Cause program is donating to the
Two Harbors Volunteer Firefighters for the entire month of December. Stop in every Wednesday and $1 of every pint sold will go to the organization. It's a great way to feel good about drinking beer. See you on Wednesday.
