Come celebrate at the Rec Center and enjoy hot drinks while we decorate the tree together. We will finish the event with the lighting of the tree!

WE ARE GEARING UP FOR A GREAT NORDIC SEASON!!!
We had a great turnout of volunteers to help clean up the trails at Hasbrouck Ranch earlier this month. Thank you for your help! The trails look great!!!

Sponsorships are starting to come in which is helping us get ready for the season. We hope that more continue to come in to support us throughout the entire season. We have made an agreement to purchase the snow groomer which will give us more flexibility in the schedule of grooming the trails! Sponsorship money will allow us the ability to groom more often. All maintenance has been done on the groomer, so it is ready to go for the season. Now all we need is enough snow to open the trails!

We are in the ordering process of Nordic Gear. Hats and sweatshirts are being ordered with our new Cascade Nordic Trails Logo on them. You will begin to see our staff sporting the new gear soon. Some special order items will be available too! Be looking for the gear to show up in our pro shop in our front lobby throughout December.
JOIN THE CASCADE NORDIC SKI CLUB!
The Cascade Nordic Ski Club will continue to support the Cascade Nordic Trails. The current club is hoping to expand the club to include more members. It is very beneficial and rewarding to be a club member. It feels good to be a proponent for a healthier and more active community! Now that the Rec Center has taken the responsibility of management of the trails, the club gets to do the fun stuff!

What does a ski club member do???

  • Assist the club officers in carrying out fun events such as "Ski to the Moon" and "Ladies Day Out". Two new events have been planned for this coming season as well that you can assist with. The "Night Fire Ski" and "Cascade Nordic Trails Fun Run". It is your choice on how many events you decide to help with. You can help with all or just one if that is all you can commit to.

  • Be an ambassador for the trails. When you are out at the trails you will be able to answer questions for others and help make sure others are enjoying the sport that you enjoy! It is a great opportunity to get to meet new people or bump into old friends. There is no schedule that you have to commit to, just be an ambassador whenever you choose to go out to the trails!

  •  Help fundraise for the trails through distribution of sponsor letters, fundraising events, and promoting our Nordic gear and season passes.

  • Help assist with trail maintenance. This could include trail clean up, set up for the season, and take down at the end of the season.

Do you get anything for being a club member???

  • A CASCADE NORDIC TRAILS SEASON PASS!

  • A Cascade Nordic Trails Ambassador winter hat!

  • New this year is a Cascade Nordic Trails season supporter sticker to slap on your water bottle, Nordic gear, car, or anywhere else you choose!

Are there requirements or a fee to be a club member???

To be a Ski Club member you do not have to be a skier. It is a great way to learn how, as you will gain instant friends who will be more than happy to teach you how if you want. If you would prefer to be an ambassador that keeps the fire going in our hut while you read a good book, that is just as welcomed!

Yes, club members will pay $25 to be a member of the club for each season. It is the same fee as you would spend to buy a season pass, but you will receive so much more. In addition to the ambassador hat and sticker, it feels great to belong to a group that is supporting the health and wellness of their community. There is something beautiful about being out on a Nordic trail in Valley County during the winter. It is peaceful and serene. It is an opportunity to connect with nature, breathe in the crisp winter air, and reward your body with health benefiting movement. Who wouldn't want to be a proponent for that?!
