December news & updates

December 4, 2025

CEO CORNER

Dear Norwalk ACTS Partners,

We are filled with gratitude this month and want to thank everyone who was able to join and support our first-ever Collective Giving Fundraiser.

At the event, we unveiled our Impact Report, which highlighted some amazing accomplishments the Norwalk community was able to achieve, including:

  • 70% of our kindergarteners were ready to learn, an 11% increase from last year.
  • Our Day of Training has provided free training for over 177 individuals representing more than 52 Norwalk organizations.

We truly could not do this vital work without the commitment of all our partners—Thank You.

Please take a moment to review the full Impact Report to see how many partnerships contributed to this work and to find more data on our progress toward putting more children on a path to economic mobility and supporting Norwalk as a whole community.

As you engage in Holiday festivities, please continue to love your neighbors and community, we are all in this together.

Your success is our success.

Cheers to continuing the work into 2026 and creating even more impact because- Working together, everything is achievable.

PARTNER FOCUS

Filling in the Blanks

Just in time for the giving season, Norwalk TALKS had an opportunity to sit down with Paola Arango, the Family & Community Engagement Coordinator for Filling in the Blanks.

With SNAP benefits jeopardized on the federal level, Filling in the Blanks saw a significant increase in need for food in Fairfield County.

This organization provides 10,000 weekend meal bags a week, with plans to expand to 11,000 very soon!
