Dear Friends,
As we close out this year, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to each of you. Your generosity has changed lives, creating access to care, education, and hope for children and families living with bleeding disorders around the world.

We look ahead to 2026 with great excitement as we celebrate our 25th Anniversary. What began as a father’s desperate plea to help his children with hemophilia in Pakistan sparked a global movement, strengthened by the countless supporters who joined along the way. Together, we have made a life-changing difference for thousands, offering hope, dignity, and opportunity, and helping to break cycles of generational poverty.
Because of you, Save One Life continues to expand our impact and reach communities where support is needed most. Thank you for standing with us, believing in our mission, and helping us provide self sustainability and brighter futures.
Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful holiday season and good health in the new year.
With Gratitude,
Cindy Komar
| | Camp in Kenya: Building Confidence, Courage and Campfires! | | This month, our program partner, Jose Memorial Hemophilia Society - Kenya hosted their annual camp, made possible by Save One Life's bleeding disorder camp fund. The camp was a huge success, fostering community, fun and education on living with a bleeding disorder. Thanks to all of our amazing donations, Save One Life was able to provide the factor for the campers through our Project SHARE program. Irene Kalekye, program manager of Jose Memorial Hemophilia Society - Kenya, shared her experience with us: | | "Jasiri Camp was truly exceptional this time around. For the first time ever, we welcomed three girls with Von Willebrand Disease alongside our boys, a meaningful milestone that felt like a real breakthrough for us. We went all in with a full camp experience: sleeping in tents, cooking over open fires, and pushing ourselves in ways we hadn't before. | | One of my favorite moments was the cooking competition. We split everyone into two groups and honestly didn't know what to expect. But these kids surprised us. The teamwork we witnessed was remarkable both teams came together to make ugali, helping each other and laughing through the chaos. Abel Kalulu earned the title of most skillful camper after leading his team to victory with a stew that was genuinely delicious. That boy has skills. | | | |
Then came the adventure activities the wild swing, wild slide, and canopy walk. I won't lie, some of these looked intimidating even to me. But our campers showed up. They pushed through their fears and proved to themselves that hemophilia doesn't get to decide what they can or cannot do. Of course, none of this would have been possible without proper factor coverage; we made sure everyone received their treatment before and after each activity so they could enjoy every moment safely.
But the part that really got me was the phone calls afterward. Parents calling to tell me they could already see positive changes in their sons and daughters—more confidence, more openness, more happiness. That feedback was deeply encouraging and confirmed what we hoped: we did something right, and the camp made a real difference in their lives."

Please consider sponsoring one of the many children available for sponsorship, like Knoxville from the Philippines.
Knoxville is a 12 year old boy with hemophilia A. He is in 7th grade and his favorite subject is art class. Knoxville dreams of becoming an engineer one day. In his free time, he loves playing sports and is learning to play guitar.
| You can help this child and his family by giving them the gift of sponsorship this holiday season. The funds will be used for basic necessities, medical treatment and education. | | | | |

| | Shanthi Hedge: An Advocate for Success | Save One Life is proud to spotlight our newest ambassador, Shanthi Hegde. Shanthi is a youth leader and advocate living with Factor VII deficiency and von Willebrand disease. Drawing from her personal experience and her family’s challenges accessing care in rural India, Shanthi is working to improve diagnosis, treatment, and culturally respectful awareness for people with bleeding disorders worldwide. | | | December Happenings in Europe: Save One Life in Italy! | | We would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to our European ambassador and hematologist, Dr. Gianluca Sottilotta, who represented Save One Life at a regional blood disorders conference in Southern Italy this month. More than 140 attendees gathered to learn about our work through a prerecorded message from our Board Member and European Liaison, Marelle Hart, as well as a video highlighting the history and mission of Save One Life. Dr. Sottilotta also created an Italian-language poster to help introduce Save One Life to the local community and spark meaningful conversations about our global impact. We are deeply grateful for ambassadors like Gianluca, whose dedication helps us raise awareness and share our mission with audiences around the world. | | |
The holiday season is often called the season of giving—a time when we pause, reflect, and remember what truly matters. Amid the lights, music, and celebrations, there is a quieter, deeper joy that comes from knowing we can change someone else’s life for the better. At Save One Life, every act of generosity helps children and families living with rare bleeding disorders face tomorrow with a little less fear and a lot more support.
At the heart of philanthropy is compassion—the ability to see beyond ourselves and feel for others. Families affected by bleeding disorders often live with constant uncertainty: Will there be medicine? Will they get the care they urgently need? Your kindness bridges that gap. Each gift, no matter the size, is a powerful affirmation to a child in need that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
| | | This season, we hope that together we can reach even more children who are waiting for help. Through the generosity of donors like you, Save One Life can provide access to treatment, education, and basic support that transforms daily survival into a future filled with possibility. When you give, you aren’t just making a donation—you are offering hope, dignity, and a chance at a brighter life. That is the true heart of philanthropy, and it beats strongest when we come together during this season of giving. | | To stay in the loop, follow us on social media: |
