Funding Call! Gender Equity in Recreational Sport: Community Grants Initiative
Applications are now being accepted for the 2020-21 Gender Equity in Recreational Sport: Community Grants Initiative. A minimum of 30 grants are available and funding will support efforts to increase the participation and retention of girls and women in recreational sport in Canada. Canadian municipalities and Indigenous communities are encouraged to apply. Application deadline is December 11, 2020. This project is part of the Government of Canada (Sport Canada) funding commitment to achieve gender equity in sport at every level by 2035. See www.womenandgirlsinrecsport.ca for more information.
Community Initiatives Program
The Community Initiatives Program through the government of Alberta is back in action! This program provides funding to support initiatives that enhance and enrich communities throughout Alberta by offering a number of grant opportunities. There are two upcoming applications with deadlines to apply by January 15.

Lethbridge's second annual PLAY! Summit will bring together educators, researchers, parents, students, and policy-makers to connect with and learn from each other. Apply today to present a play blitz presentation (5 minutes) or a feature presentation (20 minutes) at PLAY! Summit 2021 on Tuesday, February 9th.
Lethbridge Early Years Coalition invites applications for a flexible .4FTE (14 hours per week) to fill the role of LEYC Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community development and have the ability to convey the importance of the early years to multiple audiences. Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, and a strong ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) in one to one settings and to large groups is essential.
