A message from our CEO
We're getting in the holiday spirit this month at Habitat Heartland, and looking back on this year.

As we prepare to begin a new year, we must look back at 2020 - a year that reminded us how important home really is. Through all the ups and downs, Habitat Heartland's team of staff and volunteers extended our reach in the community where it was needed most, while keeping everyone's health and safety as first priority. Support from people like you empowered us to maintain our community outreach, and to keep our build projects moving forward.

For our St. Thomas build, we are looking for 2 local families to own these homes. If you or someone you know may qualify, make sure to take the eligibility quiz on our website. Our Munsee-Delaware Nation build of 4 homes for Indigenous families is nearing completion, ready for families to move in before the new year! If you'd like to contribute to our upcoming builds, we're booking Team Build Days for 2021 in London and surrounding area. If your group is interested make sure to send us an email for more information! We are also looking for volunteer support, so make sure to check out our opportunities below. We have different roles for all abilities, and are in need of volunteer support now more than ever.

And be sure to visit the ReStore this holiday season! We have great deals on items to help you prepare your home for winter, start a new DIY project, or find unique gifts and decorations for the holiday season!
Thank you for your continued support, and stay well!

Celebrities partner with Habitat for Humanity to reflect on what home should be
Across the world, home has taken on a new meaning. Home has become a classroom. A workspace. A studio. A greenhouse. A gym. A playground. A place of solace. And though the holidays might look a bit different this year, at least we have home.

But for too many, a safe, decent and affordable home is out of reach. The economic impact of COVID-19 has substantially increased the number of people and families struggling with the impossible choice of covering the cost of housing and other basic needs, like food, water, heat and health care.

That’s why prominent Habitat supporters are uniting to share what home means to them this holiday season. Watch their messages and share them with friends and family to raise awareness for our work to help families build and improve safe, decent and affordable places to call home.
