Winter Break Fun Starts Here!



Keep your kids active and engaged during school break! The City of Fremont offers a variety of Winter Break and Spring Break Camps designed for different ages and interests from science and sports to arts, cooking, and more. Whether your child wants to explore a new hobby or make new friends, there’s something for everyone.

Tree Removal Work for Central Park Community Center Project


As part of site preparation for the upcoming Central Park Community Center, the City will begin tree removal work on December 15, 2025. A total of 32 trees within the area will be removed by the City’s contractor, Rapid Response, to support grading, utility installation, and construction. Seventy new native species trees will be planted to replace those removed by 2027 to replace those removed in the park.


This work is being coordinated by the Public Works and Community Services Departments. Project work is anticipated to begin December 15, 2025, and last approximately one week, weather/schedule permitting. 

Gingerbread Cookie Decorating Workshop


Join the Fremont Chamber of Commerce and the City of Fremont for a festive gingerbread cookie decorating activity during Holidays at the Plaza on this Friday, December 5th! Kids can unleash their creativity as they decorate gingerbread treats with icing and colorful candies.


There will be many other ways to enjoy the Holidays at the Plaza event as well, including food trucks, holiday tree lighting, live entertainment, and more. Don't miss out on this holiday event!

Holiday Splendor At The Patterson House


Experience the wonder of the season at the Patterson House on Ardenwood Historic Farm, beautifully decorated in turn-of-the-century holiday elegance! Enjoy guided Holiday House Tours throughout weekends in December or step into the glow of the Twilight Time Holiday Open House on December 14th.

Creativity & Wellness Workshop


Join the City of Fremont’s Youth Advisory Commission (YAC) for a fun and relaxing event open to students and youth across Fremont! This Free Workshop is all about destressing and expressing yourself in a welcoming space. Enjoy hands-on creativity, hot chocolate, and meaningful conversations as you recharge, create, and connect.

Winter Baking Workshops


Celebrate the season by creating festive, winter-themed sweets for you and your family to enjoy. From baking classic cookies for Santa and Friends to mastering creative decorating techniques, there’s something for every age and skill level.


Stay Active This Winter With Pickleball



Stay active and enjoy some friendly competition on Fremont’s pickleball courts! Reservations for Fremont's Tennis Center can be made up to 7 days in advance for residents and 5 days for non-residents—all online through your recreation account. Courts are available daily from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Grab your paddle, and get ready to play!
