DECEMBER

2023

I’m experiencing this time of year in a whole new way this year - through the eyes of a three-and-a-half year old. My daughter’s wonder, excitement, and energy are contagious. They are giving me a renewed appreciation for the little and big things and reminding me of the importance of connection and, much of the time, patience.

At MSAC, our team is gearing up for a busy winter. Among so much else, we’ll be launching the long-anticipated Arts Capital program, opening the Grants for Artists program for FY24 applications, reviewing Public Art Across Maryland grant applications (the deadline is Jan. 26!), and welcoming new team members. On that note, we are looking for individuals with accounting backgrounds and passion for the arts to fill our Fiscal Officer position (deadline Dec. 12). And, we’ll be announcing other openings soon! Click here for more information about ways to get involved, and keep an eye out for new openings to join our team.

Wishing you a very happy holiday season and encouraging you to take time this month to slow down and experience this time of year with the wonder and enthusiasm of a toddler. You won’t regret it!
