Gratitude and Appreciation for You

Expressing gratitude and appreciation is a positive and effective strategy that has been encouraged in many of our Wellness Programs throughout the years. So, today, we would like to share our gratitude for you and your participation in our University Wellness Program. The majority of our benefits-eligible faculty and staff have participated in our Wellness Programs and have worked hard to implement a variety of healthy lifestyle behaviors into their lives. Many of you have taken the time to share your appreciation for the health benefits that you have experienced as a result of your participation. We appreciate your engagement with our programs and resources and celebrate the many healthy changes that you have made throughout 2022!

Mindfulness Matters Training Program for Faculty

Are you interested in mindfulness and meditation? Would you like to learn more about those techniques and how to use them in your classroom to enhance the student learning experience? Please consider participating in the Mindfulness Matters Training Program which will begin in December with three mindfulness training sessions led by Suzanne Rusnak, MEd, MSSA, LSW, an experienced mindfulness instructor and practitioner. Suzanne will offer three sessions which we encourage everyone to attend, with recordings available for any session missed. This zoom-based training will prepare faculty to integrate brief mindfulness activities into their weekly classroom experience during that time. Participation in the research portion of this project will also be an option for interested faculty.

December 13 from 2-3:30 pm

January 4 from 2-3:30 pm

January 10 from 2-3:30 pm

In the short term this project may improve student mindfulness, stress and well-being, faculty confidence in integrating mindfulness into their classes, and the classroom experience for both faculty and students.
