Special Notes from the Library

A Visit from Otto and Officer Dru!

On Wednesday, November 13, we had our first storytime with Officer Dru and Otto, the Pitkin County Sheriff's newest K9 recruit. Everyone, including staff, was so excited to meet Otto and listen to Officer Dru read some pawsome books. We hope for more storytimes with Officer Dru and Otto in the future!

Some Highlights from 2024

We have had an eventful year here at the Library full of amazing programs for kids, teens, and adults!

We kicked off the summer with our Summer Reading Kickoff Party, which included visits from organizations throughout Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. We had a number of special storytimes with ACES, the Aspen Historical Society, the U.S. Forest Service, and more! We also loved having the students from the Aspen Music Festival and School perform concerts at the Library and help us tell fun stories during Tunes and Tales.

Our fall programming has been just as robust with recurring programs like Baby STEM, Bike Maintenance Workshops, Sewing Workshops, Crafting on Saturdays, Paint Like Bob Ross evenings, and our numerous book clubs for book lovers of all kinds. We also have regular programming for teens on Wednesdays and have restarted Dungeons and Dragons on select Saturdays.

Enjoy some snapshots from this year and thank you to all for attending our programs and visiting the Library!
