Wisconsin Digital Library/ Libby Expansion Coming in 2026! 🎉

Throughout 2025, library staff explored ways to expand access to digital books and audiobooks while staying within budget. We’re excited to announce that Shorewood Public Library will join other Milwaukee County libraries in launching a new Lucky Day digital collection through the Wisconsin Digital Library in the Libby app. This collection will feature popular, high-demand titles—especially audiobooks—available with no holds or wait times and for all ages.

This change begins January 1, 2026. We’re sharing the news early so residents are informed and ready for the exciting improvements ahead. While it won’t eliminate all wait times in Libby, it will offer faster access, better meet reading and listening needs, and provide a stronger digital experience for our community.

The Girl From

Earth's End

by Tara Dairman

"A good book gift for really anyone. It's a children's novel, and although the language and story reflect that purpose, the writing is engaging and intelligent enough to draw in readers of any age. Dairman's development with her characters is astonishingly patient and rewarding. Finishing the book might even bring a tear to your eye, but most definitely a smile to your face and a warmth to your heart."

Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation

by Lynne Truss

"Light enough for readers who don't generally enjoy nonfiction, serious enough for those who dislike fiction, and we all use punctuation. It's a helpful topic for anyone to consider!"
