Patron Suggestion

This was sent to us by Hailey Dawn Stratton:

” I was just looking at your library's resources page library's resources page and thought this list of word games for kids would make a great addition there. I know it's a little bit different than most of the other resources you have listed there, but it's a great list.”

Thanks, Hailey, for the suggestion! The Word Games website is now available through this newsletter. It will be also be available on our website soon under Databases.

Harry Potter Club “Owl Post” Gift Exchange.

We are thinking of and missing seeing our Harry Potter Club, the DA Owls, in person.  Just like Molly Weasley made sure Harry received gifts on Christmas, we want to make sure all our Harry Potter fans get a special package in the Muggle Owl Post (the US Mail) for the Holidays.  We invite all Harry Potter fans to participate in a Secret Santa gift exchange this December.  If you would like to participate, please email Sarah at [email protected] with your name and mailing address.  We will draw names and assign each participant a person to mail a card, letter or small gift to.   Then you will receive an “Owl Post” from another participant.  Please send the information by December 16th to participate.

The DA Owls are Dumbledore’s Army of Wagnalls Library, a Harry Potter Club that is free and open to everyone age 11 to adult.

Any questions, please contact Sarah at [email protected].

All are welcome, even if you haven't finished or even started the book.

Email Sarah at [email protected] for more information.
Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange

We are going to make a community cookie exchange recipe book!

Almost everyone has a favorite cookie recipe and with everyone spending more time in our homes this Holiday season, this would be a great opportunity to try new recipes from our neighbors. Please have your recipes in by December 18th so the book will be ready before Christmas. Once the book is created, it will be free to download from the Wagnalls website. A hard copy will also be bound and available for circulation.

Full details can be found on the Wagnalls website at Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange.
