  • Sotheby's Premiere Realty will soon be moving from their old 2nd-floor location in the 500 block to the former Vitas space at the east end of Canal.

  • No doubt you've seen that the former county tax, tag, and Sheriff's offices at the east end of the street have come onto the market for sale as a single 8000+ square foot parcel. Those County offices had previously moved around the corner to the old Courthouse building.

  • Because they look similar, you might not have noticed that Canal Street has new trash receptacles. There are now 26 of them, compared to the former 20, and more importantly, they have double the capacity of the old cans. More upgrades to Canal Street are in the works.
