The Flea and the Professor

written by Jordan Harrison and directed by Jeffrey Bigger

December 1 – December 23, 2018
A young professor loses just about everything in the world – everything, that is, except for the flea who lives in his vest. Starting over again, the professor and the flea become the best of friends, start a circus act and set off to tour the world. Together they must overcome shipwrecks, cannibals, and tickling. Adapted by Jordan Harrison and Richard Gray from the last tale by master storyteller Hans Christian Andersen, this new musical odyssey celebrates friendship, whimsy, and the excitement of the unknown.

The Best Brothers

Monday, December 10 at 7:30pm &
Saturday, December 15 at 2:30pm

The Best Brothers is a bittersweet comedy that explores the many ways in which we grieve and the love we find in unexpected places. Bunny Best has met her unfortunate end after a mishap at a Gay Days parade. Now her two sons, Kyle and Hamilton, have the task of arranging her funeral and caring for her most beloved companion, a troublesome Italian Greyhound named Enzo. In the bustle of obituary-writing, eulogy-giving, and dog-sitting, sibling rivalry quickly reaches its peak and years of buried contentions surface.

Hamilton Best – played by Kevin Reifel
Kyle Best – played by Stephen Koenig
Narrator – played by Wayne D’Antoni

Gallery Bleu
Join us for our next First Friday Gallery walk on December 7 from 5-7 p.m.

Lots of color! Deborah Lord Treiber’s quilts have been in seven national quilt shows during the last three years and her quilts have traveled with the international Hoffman Challenge during that time. Deborah goes back and forth from silks, to quilting, to painting and now painting on fabric, treating everyday as a new challenge. “It is so fun and freeing and so healing. I might never get it all out. I hope people will enjoy the color and motion and find their own freedom in what’s expressed.”
This artist has lived in the high mountains of Colorado for the past 45 years. Since retiring ten years ago, she has pursued her interests in all types of art media. This is a small collection of those artistic expressions. Please enjoy, “More Colorful Expressions of Deborah Lord Treiber.”

The Comedy Brewers have been bringing interactive improvisational comedy to the public since before Miley Cyrus and Edward Snowden made us question our reality. Using audience suggestions, this improv troupe has been creating the tastiest comedic refreshment in Northern Colorado, on the spot, with no barrel-aging. Try to keep up, as scenes and games are created with the audience, to find and explore the humor around us. Quirky characters, crazy stories, and an occasional break into song are to be expected. Quick-witted, unique, and just plain fun, the Comedy Brewers leave a pleasant and strange aftertaste you will want to share with friends and family.

Ticket Prices: $10.00 in advance and $15 at-the-door Bas Bleu Theatre, 401 Pine Street, Fort Collins, CO 80524
