Mended Hearts

Join the next Mended Hearts meeting at noon on Saturday, Dec. 2 at St. Luke's Health Education Center, 3333 Squalicum Parkway, Bellingham. This is our annual holiday potluck. Bring a favorite dish to share. We're also collecting donations to support Toys for Tots. There will be no Zoom or recording. All meetings are free and open to the public. Whatcom Hospice Events

PeaceHealth Whatcom Hospice annual Celebration of Light service invites the community to honor loved ones who've died. Services will be held on two dates and times:

  • Saturday, Dec. 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 6., from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.


Both services will be held at the Squalicum Boathouse at Zuanich Point Park, 2600 N. Harbor Loop Drive in Bellingham. Please RSVP by calling 360-733-5877 or email, WhatcomHospiceGrief@peacehealth.org.

Co-Parenting Workshop

Co-parenting well isn’t easy, but it is possible. Exes & Babies is offering a free online workshop 6:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7. The session is designed to help separated or divorced parents (or other family members) committed to raising a child together. It's free and open to all families in Skagit County, but registration is required. Click to register.


QPR Suicide Prevention Class

In "Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR)," participants develop the skills to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Similar to CPR, QPR is an evidence-based suicide prevention program that provides lifesaving knowledge and steps to help someone in crisis. The free online class happens 10-11:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8. It's open to anyone age 16 or older. Click to register.


Overdose Response Class

Learn the steps to recognize and respond to an overdose, including how to deliver naloxone (Narcan), the medication that reverses an opioid overdose. The free online class is available at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7. It will give you the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in an overdose crisis. Anyone in Skagit County age 16 or older can attend. Click to register.

Virtual Cancer Support Group
