Dear Reader,
I feel sure that you, like us, cannot believe that we are already in the last month of the year!
Its been a busy and rewarding twelve months and with two exhibitions currently under way (
Patrick Altes
and
Eve Arnold
), we are excited to announce that we will soon be participating, for the very first time, in the forthcoming
London Art Fair
in January. In the meantime, we will be going to
Miami
for the fairs this week, so if you are planning to be there too, do drop us a line!
For our last newsletter of 2019, in addition to our regular selection of exhibitions and events, in
Art Matters
, we take a look at what the future might hold for art whilst our
Inspiration
section features an insightful video into the practice of renowned Iranian artist
Tala Madani
.
We hope you have a restful end to the year and a joyous holiday season. And lastly we would like to thank all our friends, colleagues and clients for your continued support.
With all best wishes from the JRFA team,
Janet Rady,
Gallery Director and Curator

With the rise of

Activist art, AI art
amongst several growing prominent art genres and terms,
in this last issue of 2019 we reflect on what the art of the near future might be and what to expect ahead of the new year.

In her Los Angeles studio, Tala Madani shares the crucial role that sketchbooks play in her painting practice. A way for the artist to both experiment with potential compositions and quickly record an idea during a moment of inspiration, Madani’s sketchbooks serve as a visual archive of her paintings—those already realized as well as possible future works.
