Exceeding Expectations!
We extend our sincerest gratitude to the many people who helped make our 8th annual Fall Fest our most successful yet. Thank you to our wonderfully generous sponsors and attendees and our hardworking Board, staff, and volunteers. And a special thanks to our Honoree Tony Bartolomeo and our emcee Monica Malpass! Despite the wintry mix that threw a bit of a wrench into our plans, we raised over $250,000 to uplift children and families in Philadelphia!

Children's Grief Awareness Month
November is Children's Grief Awareness Month. To raise awareness, Uplift's Executive Director, Darcy Walker Krause, who lost her mother when she was just 15 years old, contributed to the National Alliance for Grieving Children's "Dear Me" campaign, writing a letter to her younger self. Darcy looks back on her devastation as a young woman suddenly motherless through her experiences today, as a mother herself. Please take a moment to read Darcy’s letter and recognize that no child should grieve alone.
Grief and the Holidays
The holiday season can be especially challenging for those experiencing grief. However, with the proper tools and support, the sometimes difficult holiday season can be made manageable.

Uplift has developed a thoughtful guide with detailed advice on how to cope during this time of year.
