MONTHLY MATTERS
Dear Team,

Season’s Greetings! As we come to the close of 2020, we reflect on what is truly important. This is a time to come together as family, friends, and strangers – all as one nation. 2020 has been a difficult year. Many of us have struggled in different ways, and some have even lost loved ones. Please know that we are with you, and we hope this season brings you peace, joy, and comfort now and throughout the new year.

This week you learned of changes to the organizational structure of the health system. We are fully committed to make transitions as smooth and seamless as possible, ensuring that the services we provide go uninterrupted and continue with the highest level of excellence.

As the details become more clear in the coming weeks, we challenge each of you, ourselves included, to be kind to one another. Let’s challenge ourselves to incorporate random acts of kindness into each and every day!

Here are a few examples from the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation:
  • Send an uplifting text to a friend or family member
  • Let that guy merge into traffic with a wave and a smile
  • Include intentional moments of kindness, laughter, and delight in your daily routine
  • Go slightly outside of your comfort zone at least once a day to make someone smile
  • Share a compliment with a co-worker or friend
  • Reach out to a family member you haven’t spoken to in a while
  • Treat someone to a cup of coffee (a friend, stranger, or even yourself)

We'd love to see what you come up with! Please send pictures of your random acts of kindness to feature in the next edition of Monthly Matters.

Thank you, as always, for all that you do. We wish you and your family a joyous December and a very Happy New Year.

Jim, Liz, Karin, Billy, Ann, Jennifer, & Jef
