Deciding what’s next.

In the strategic planning sessions from the past two years, administrators, staff, parents, and students identified Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) within our school district. From there, we identified focus areas and objectives for district-wide improvement. This year, in our August and September planning sessions, our administrators and teachers presented on student performance goals and programming being implemented to address the focus areas and meet objectives. As we strive to increase stakeholder engagement within our continued improvement efforts, we invite you to participate in our strategic planning sessions by selecting one of the participation groups described below. If you are interested in participating in these ongoing sessions, please complete this form. Dates and locations for this year's remaining strategic planning sessions are: November 14th, January 23rd, February 27th, and April 23rd.

From planning to actions.

Togetherness and Common Purpose

A focus of the Norwell branding concept has been to generate and promote a district-wide, united purpose for improving outcomes for ALL students. Within this participation group, you will review the components of Norwell Branding Guide and the roles of various representative groups within the branding and marketing process.

Ready for what’s next

Within the 2023 legislative session, over one-third of the bills passed directly impacted public education. These legislative changes have led all Indiana school districts to evaluate the use of resources to stay competitive with staffing, programming, and learning environments (facilities). Within this participation group, you will review the previous SWOT analysis and examine Norwell’s recently implemented initiatives in response to that SWOT analysis.

Trust and Communication

Due to the pacing of our work, there are times when implementing the next right answer falls out of sync with communicating and soliciting feedback from parents and community members. Within this participation group, you will review the process within a school district for generating ideas, managing consistent communication with stakeholders, and making timely decisions.
