Chris van Beek, President Deepwater Wind & Paul Murphy, VP of Operations and Engineering Deepwater Wind will provide an update on the status of the 5 turbine offshore wind farm being installed off the coast of Block Island and discuss challenges and opportunities for all phases going forward. Of particular interest to the marine technology sector is the intersection of expertise in offshore oil operations and the use of many technologies and capabilities located here in New England. Insight will be presented on the utilization of offshore oil and gas technologies and the development of a New England supply chain for offshore wind farms.
