Deerassic Park is going to continue with its coloring contest this month! Before the pandemic, hundreds of kids were given our “Deerassic Park Activity Booklets” if they came to the Park for a field trip, if we seen them at a trade show, or came to their school. The Activity Booklets have all sorts of fun, nature themed activities to do in them including word puzzles, scavenger hunts, coloring pages, I Spys, and more! On the back cover of each Activity Booklet is a coloring contest! This allows kids to color the cartoon deer on the back and then their parents can mail them into us or stop out at the Park and drop them off. During the pandemic, we weren’t passing out the booklets near as much as we were before so we got away from the contest a little bit. But after receiving quite a few here in recent months we are bringing it back!
If you’d like a booklet for your kiddo, you can stop out at the Park to the Education Center entrance anytime, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm and pick one up! The coloring contest is NOT art based and winners each quarter are chosen randomly! Of course, we’d love to still see your beautiful artwork! Winners are chosen on a running basis, so the sooner you get your submission in, the more drawings you’ll be entered in! We will be doing drawings in June, September, and December as well this year and announce them in the newsletter, as well as our social media platforms! Winners will be contacted separately to arrange a time to pick up their prize here at the Park!
