Deetken Corporate Retreat
|
|
In February, the Deetken team got together to hold our first-ever corporate retreat. Twenty-two Deetken-ers came from as far away as Sylvan Lake, Alberta, to Vancouver for a day-and-a-half long event.
We spent the first half-day on a team bonding trip on Grouse Mountain. We began with a refreshing snowshoe trek through the woods followed by snacks at Grouse Mountain Lodge and a special guest discussion led by Joshua Myers, Executive Director of the BC Centre for Ability (BCCFA), who talked about the challenges and opportunities of building an inclusive workplace. (Deetken Partner Julian Whike is a former board chair of BCCFA and Deetken has been a long-time supporter of the organisation.)
The next day, we met on Granville Island in Vancouver to share our thoughts about the company’s performance and growth opportunities, to learn more about each other’s projects and practice areas, and to brainstorm ways we can better serve our clients. The day was filled with engaging roundtable discussions, collaboration opportunities, a few “aha” moments, and a lot of laughter.
Thank you again for your continued support.
Sincerely,
The Deetken Team

Key responsibilities of our co-op students include:
- Structuring, conducting and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative analyses utilising various techniques to uncover insights into our client’s critical issues;
- Participating in data collection, client interviews and facilitated workshops;
- Participating in developing solutions and making recommendations based on an understanding of business strategy and stakeholder needs;
