Consumers Should Be Aware of Recalled Toddler Bike Helmets

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission Recalls Toddler Bike Helmet

On September 1, 2021, United States Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that TurboSKE toddler bike helmets had been recalled.

The reason that these helmets were recalled was because they present a risk of head injury to small children. Traumatic brain injuries, skull fractures and other head injuries can dramatically alter a child's future.

The recalled helmets were manufactured by Dongguan Flying Sports Goods Co. Ltd., of China but they were imported by SKE Outdoors Inc. of Katy, Texas.

The helmets were sold on Amazon and other online retailers between August 2020 through July 2021. Only helmets in a size "small" were recalled; these helmets fit head that have a circumference of 19 to 20 inches. SKE Outdoors has asked consumers to return these helmets free of charge for a full refund or a free replacement.
