WordGirl is coming to DelGrosso's Amusement Park on June 22nd! Mark your calendars and join us for WPSU Kid's Day at DelGrosso's Amusement Park from 11am-5pm on Saturday, June 22nd.
WordGirl is on the look out for villains like The Butcher, Chuck the Evil Sandwich Guy, Dr. Two-Brains and Lady Redundant. WordGirl has knowledge this group of trouble makers are planning to bring chaos to the park and she needs some WPSU Crime Fighters to help her save the day. Children 10 years and under can sign up at "City Hall" (the red and white tent near Murf's Kitchen) to get their newspaper and list of things they can do to help restore order. The first 400 Crime Fighters to register and help WordGirl find the right word to save the day will get to take home some great prizes including a jar of Super Hero Sloppy Joe Sauce.

Catholic Diocese Faith Day June 30th
The faithful of the Altoona-Johnstown Catholic Diocese will gather for their annual Faith Day on Sunday, June 30th at DelGrosso's Amusement Park. The Diocese is looking forward to a day of fun, food and fellowship. A special mass will take place at 3pm by Bishop Mark Bartchak. Folks attending the Faith Day are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for the mass.
There will be various musical performances by church choirs from the diocese and a special concert at 7pm featuring Shawn Smith, a Christian Singer from West Palm Beach Florida. Catered picnic meals must be reserved through each diocese. A special price on the All-Day Fun Pass is being offered to Diocese members who have the special Faith Day coupon. $3 dollars from every pass purchased with the coupon will be donated to the Angel Fund for Camp Zacchaeus and Camp Timothy.
This fund helps young people attend diocesan summer camps. For more information on Faith Day you can call 814-695-5579.

SUMMER THUNDER 2013
Remembering the 150th Anniversary of the
BATTLE OF GETTYSBURGJoin us on July 4th for Summer Thunder 2013! This amazing fireworks display is sure to fill you with American pride! This year's them is a salute to the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. Civil War Re-enactors will be on the Summer Thunder� grounds firing cannons in conjunction with the fireworks. The preshow will begin at approx 10pm and the fireworks will start around 10:30pm.  Come enjoy this summer tradition at DelGrosso's!

Ride and Slide to Fight Cancer Day - July 7th
Team up with the American Cancer Society to help fight cancer while having a fun day at the park. Relay for Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk Team Captains are distributing special Ride and Slide Coupons. Park guests who have the coupon will get to purchase an All-Day Fun Pass for $11.00 and $3 will be donated back to Relay for Life or Making Strides.
