Hello and Happy February!

Can you believe that is already February! I feel like 2021 is just flying by! With all the snow and cold it is hard to even think about warmer weather- but here at the Delafield Chamber, Kelly and I are plugging along with our 2021 Calendar of Events.

After cancelling a lot of our signature events in 2020- we are pleased to announce that we have received the GREEN light to move full steam ahead in 2021. We have all learned so much over the last year, and the Delafield Chamber is excited to welcome back events in 2021 using the Waukesha County Health Guidelines.

Who is excited for LIVE music this Summer?
We have booked our 2021 Delafield Block Party bands and all 4 of them are AWESOME!

With bitter cold temperatures upon us, please consider these simply tips to stay safe in this extreme cold. A person can experience hypothermia or frost bite in just a few short minutes, if ill prepared in these temperatures. Consider keeping additional blankets, jacket, and hand warmers in your vehicle, in the event that your vehicle brakes down. Remember that these temperatures are also hard on your vehicles as well.

Many people are also tempted to use additional heat sources during these frigid temperatures. If using a space heater ensure it is placed on a solid, flat surface and keep them at least three feet from anything that can burn. Additionally, periodically check the cord and plug for any cracks or damage. Avoid using the heater if any damage is found. Lastly, be sure to turn heaters off when you go to sleep or leave the room. Unattended or damaged space heaters can be very dangerous. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Lake Country Fire & Rescue. Stay warm and safe in these coming days.
