State Chamber Update
With tax season upon us, I thought I’d check in with the Tax Foundation to see where Delaware stands in relation to other states. We rank 12th among the fifty states for State and Local Individual Income Tax Collections per Capita ($1,267). The Top Corporate Income Tax Rate is 8.7%, which yields us a State Business Tax Climate Index Rating of 15. Our State Gasoline Tax is 23.00 cents per gallon, ranking us 36th in the nation. The State Cigarette Tax Rate (dollars per pack) is $2.10.

We have no State Sales Tax, and it is important to remember that the State funds many activities that county and municipal governments in other states frequently deliver. All of this and more can be found at www.taxfoundation.org/state/delaware
