Effective Today - Chicago Bars Must Close for Indoor Service, Restaurants Limited to Six Per Table

ars, taverns, breweries and other establishments that serve alcohol for on-site consumption in the city of Chicago without a Retail Food license will no longer be able to serve customers indoors.
Restaurants that serve alcohol will be allowed to continue to operate for indoor service as long as they abide by ongoing COVID-19 guidance and existing regulations. Current capacity restrictions remain in place for all restaurants -
25% occupancy per room - or 50 people per room (whichever is fewer).
Maximum party size and table occupancy at restaurants, bars, taverns and breweries will be reduced to six people.

Sangamon County and Springfield Restaurants and Bars Limited to 50 People or 50% Capacity
Today, in response to a recent uptick in COVID-19 cases, Sangamon County officials have issued orders to enforce social distancing guidelines and occupancy limits in restaurants and bars.

Beginning this weekend, restaurants and bars in Sangamon County must operate at the lesser of 50 people or 50% of overall space capacity, allow for six feet of distance between tables, and adhere to 25% capacity in standing areas.
The orders apply to all restaurants and bars operating in Sangamon County - including those in the city of Springfield and unincorporated Sangamon County.

Next Week - ILCC Retailer Delinquency List Resumes, Bona Fide Disputes Must Be Refiled
As of Monday, July 27, the
Illinois Liquor Control Commission
(ILCC) will post an updated Delinquency List and will continue to post updated lists every subsequent Thursday as required by the Liquor Control Act.
Retailers that had been listed on the most recently posted Delinquency List - or who have become delinquent over the past month - will again be reported delinquent on July 27, 2020.
All previously reported bona fide disputes filed pursuant to Illinois Liquor Control Commission “Guidance on Thirty (30) Day Credit Law Reporting – Retailer Delinquencies - Bona Fide Dispute Process" have been voided.
If a retailer is named on a published Delinquency List and has a good faith bona fide dispute of the amount that is owed, the retailer may file (or refile) a “bona fide dispute” with the Commission at that time.

Send a Note: No New Tariffs on Food & Alcohol
The Trump Administration is proposing tariffs of up to 100% on food and alcohol products from the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK) including seafood, cheese and other dairy products, ham, certain fruits and fruit products, pasta, coffee, olives and olive oil, chocolate, potatoes, baked products, wine, sparkling wine, whiskey, beer, gin, brandy, and vodka, among other food products.
