Deliverable Suspension - Behavioral Health Clinical Chart Audit Findings/Summary

Applicable to: Mercy Care Complete Care, Mercy Care RBHA, Mercy Care Long Term Care and Mercy Care DD

Mercy Care received the following information from AHCCCS regarding the Behavioral Health Clinical Chart Audit and Summary. In light of the feedback received during the initial round of audit activities, as well as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, AHCCCS has decided to continue the suspension of the Behavioral Health Clinical Chart Audit Process (as identified within Section D, “Behavioral Health Clinical Chart Audit Findings and Summary Report”). It is AHCCCS’ intention to re-initiate these activities as of October 1, 2021 for CYE2022.

AHCCCS has received valuable feedback from Contractors and Providers regarding their experiences related to the process and focus of the Behavioral Health Clinical Chart Audit. We welcome additional feedback for possible inclusion into future audit efforts. Going forward , it is AHCCCS’ goal to ensure a strong focus on outcomes related to member experiences with integrated care.

AHCCCS will continue to work with Contracted Health Plans to plan for re-initiation of the audit activities and processes. Feedback may be implemented, as allowable based on AHCCCS policy and regulatory guidelines.

As always, don't hesitate to contact your Mercy Care Network Management Representative with any questions or comments. You can find this notice and all other provider notices on our Mercy Care website.

Thanks for all you do!
