3rd Quarter Report (1/1/2022-3/31/2022)
May 2022 - Vol 2, Issue3
|
|
May is a month of celebrations and transitions. As we celebrate our graduates, we quickly transition to the new academic year on July 1. As I celebrate the end of 2 years as Chair and transition into the new academic year, I am reflecting on what an incredible journey it has been. We have faced the challenge of doing hard things and as a result, we know we can face new challenges in the future. I continue to be inspired to show up, with purpose, to work with this remarkable group of people.
In the face of considerable challenges that have not gone away (e.g. COVID19 pandemic, strained workforce, social and political violence), the people in our department continue to deliver high quality patient care, state-of-the-art research, and innovative medical education. We deliver exceptional CARE (clinical service, administrative oversight, research, and education) because people – patients, each other, and our communities – are at the center of what we do. This newsletter reminds us, and our communities, what we’ve accomplished as a department, while acknowledging how far we’ve come and signifying where we’re headed.
Please celebrate with us as we highlight accomplishments from our last quarter and announce recent events.
With gratitude.
