Radon Awareness Month

Did you know...?

Radon can seep into any building, old or new. Even perfectly maintained homes can have elevated levels, and testing is the only way to detect it.

January is Radon Awareness Month, a time dedicated to educating communities about the dangers of radon—a colorless, odorless gas that is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. Radon can enter homes through cracks and openings in the foundation, and the only way to know your home’s radon level is to test for it.

Simple, affordable test kits are available, and mitigation systems can significantly reduce high levels. This month, take a proactive step to safeguard your family’s health by learning about radon and ensuring your home is tested.
