The following is the most current information regarding products on our Fall bid. The third delivery starts today, October 22, and will conclude Friday, November 9. Refer to Memo 1 & 2 regarding procedures for the reporting and return of non-acceptable product.

Please be aware that payment of the invoices for the administrative fee for participation in the Fall 2018 Bid are due in the SWMSS office by November 15. These invoices need to be paid to SWMSS in a timely manner as it will affect your ability to place an order on the SWMSS Spring 2019 bid. We thank you for your participation in our state-wide cooperative food purchasing program and value you as clients.

FALL 2018 PRODUCT ISSUES & INFO
  

ITEM 6 - APRICOTS, CANNED
FSA now has a new vendor and is waiting for the new harvest pack to come into the warehouse. They will be delivered when received by FSA.

ITEM 506 - FRUIT PUREE, STRAWBERRY
FSA still has not received an estimated time of arrival for this product.
 
ITEMS 27 - MIXED VEGETABLES, CANNED
FSA was shorted on their delivery from the packer. Again, they are waiting for the new harvest pack.
 
ITEM 503 - ASIAN SAUCE, TERIYAKI
FSA was shorted on their delivery without an estimated time of arrival.  It will be delivered when received by FSA.

ITEMS 616 - PAN COVERS, CLEAR
This item is now back in stock at FSA and will be delivered as ordered.

WEATHER & CURRENT BID NEWS

The weather across the world has made a huge impact on the produce market and it will continue through the next growing season. Thank you for your patience and, hopefully, being the smart, capable and flexible cooks that you are, you have come up with some creative menu items for these missing or late deliveries.
 
Please keep the lines of communication open so that we are aware of any issues and problems can be solved in a timely manner. Also, please let me know if you experience positive things with our products and your students and staff. All of us together will make our bid a better tool for your menu needs.
 
We are excited about the Spring 2019 Cooperative Food Bid which is out to the distributors right now. It will be awarded in early November with the market basket order form soon to follow. Be on the lookout for upcoming emails with more details.
