HOLIDAY MEETUP
DAL - The Heart of Delray Gallery
Holiday Art Supply Gift Event
Join us for another exciting meetup in December in the heart of Delray Beach, Florida. On Wednesday evening the 18th , 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, come to The Heart of Delray Gallery on Federal Highway in Delray Beach.

Bring a Holiday Christmas wrapped blank art canvas, paint brushes, colored pencils, or any art supply gift suitable for donation for the Holiday's for the Delray Art League's arts education programs in the community. All wrapped art supply gifts will be donated to one of our great Delray Community Centers for arts students.

Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce - First Friday Artwalk

The Delray Art League is having a First Friday Artwalk on Dec.6, at the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce on 1st Avenue from 6PM-9PM. League members who are displaying their artworks please be there and invite family and friends. Other artists please be there with your invitees to support your fellow league artists.

Holiday Showcase
Dec. 20th, 2019 to February 14th, 2020
applications have been sent to Exhibiting Members.
We have a few more spaces available, pick-up an application at the December meeting (dues must be current.) Deadline for applications to be returned is Dec. 13, 2019.

Indoor Show Committee Chair NEEDED 
We have five to six committee members, but we need a Chair person. Please contact Kathi Stamm if you want to volunteer to chair this committee.  [email protected]
St. Paul's 'Art Meets Music'
January 19th - Sunday 2 pm
January 24th - Friday 6:30 pm
February 9th - Sunday 2 pm
We have more space available and this is a wonderful way to spend a Sunday or Friday with St. Paul's music lovers. Application emails have been sent. Please refer to your email or contact Kathi Stamm or Ron Rizzi.
OUTDOOR SHOW EXHIBITORS
Veterans Park

We our encouraging DAL artists with their own tent or sharing a tent to sign up and notify the league for our big Dec. 14-15 art show at Veterans Park . Great opportunity to sell your art during the holiday season or sign up to be at our hospitality tent. Should be fun. Call Howard Sherman VP, at  781-799-0871  for info.

TALKS

On Monday, December 2, Fran Goodman will give a talk at the Institute for Learning in Retirement called “Painting a Picture of Abstract Expressionism.” The audience will be encouraged to participate. Boca Raton Community Center 150 Crawford Avenue, Boca Raton, 11:15 AM– 12:30 PM. 

EXHIBITS

Joyce Rogers has paintings in an ongoing exhibit at the Yogurt Emporium. Located at the Shoppes of Woolbright, in the shopping center on the corner of Jog Road and Woolbright in Boynton Beach. Next to the Dune Deck Mimosa Cafe.

Claudia Hafner exhibiting in Small Works exhibition at Broward Art Guild, 3280 NE 32nd Street, Fort Lauderdale. Won 3rd place award.

Tammy Seymour and Claudia Hafner exhibiting with the Gold Coast Watercolor Society, Wet Paint exhibition at ArtServe, Fort Lauderdale, Dec. 6 - Jan. 11. Both also exhibiting at the Parker Playhouse Gallery, Fort Lauderdale, during December.


CLASSES


Lorrie Turner teaches Pastels, Atelier style, to your individual strengths & weaknesses, from beginner to more advanced students. Boca Raton Museum of Art – Art School. 

Ever wanted to paint in the Southern part of France? Lorrie B Turner will be giving a Pastel Workshop along the Dordogne and Lot Rivers, July 18 – 25, 2020. It’s not too early to register as these trips are limited in number and fill up quickly. Contact Lorrie for more information. Anyone exhibiting at a Gallery, or doing a Show, or in an Exhibit, or having an Event or just received an Award, please email me your good news for inclusion in this monthly newsletter.

Please reply with a brief announcement written as you would like to see it in print . No more than one paragraph and NO pictures. However, you may provide a link to an http, website or Facebook if available. Include deadline dates, expiration dates, etc. Post will be announced once unless dates are included .

Submissions must be received prior to the 1st of each month.
