Delta Air Lines to add Second Flight
to Minneapolis October 11
Williston Herald - With the addition of Sun Country Airlines in September, providing seasonal direct flights to Las Vegas, more people are beginning to utilize XWA for their travel needs. Airport Director Anthony Dudas said airline partners are taking notice and responding accordingly. "In October, we're expecting to see an additional flight added by Delta Air Lines," Dudas told the Williston Herald. "So we will now have two flights to offer direct to Minneapolis per day." Williston Works Podcast to feature
Williston Square October 8
Williston Economic Development (WED) will release Season 4, Episode 2, of its Williston Works Podcast on Friday, October 8. The podcast will feature Dave Juma, Williston City Engineer. Juma will discuss infrastructure projects in Williston, particularly, the Williston Square development. “I think that (Williston Square) is going to be the centerpiece of Williston for the next decade, if not longer,” said Juma. Williston's Dokken named to NDPC's Hall of Fame
Williston Herald - Larry Dokken decided to retire in 2017, but it was a short one. In 2020, he went back to work for Neset Consulting to oversee North Dakota’s Bakken Restart, a Cares Act funded program that put thousands of oilfield employees back to work during the pandemic. That willingness to volunteer and sacrifice have been hallmarks of his more than 56-year career in the oil and gas industry, and is among the reason he was selected to be the 17th inductee into the North Dakota Petroleum Council’s Hall of Fame. Crusoe, ONEOK, Continental win NDPC Awards
North Dakota Petroleum Council - The 2021 North Dakota Petroleum Council Annual Meeting was held September 21-23 in Watford City. The meeting featured 375 registrants. The keynote speaker was former Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke (pictured above). The 2021 NDPC Industry and Leadership Awards were presented to the following: Excellence in Safety Award – ONEOK Rockies Midstream; Community Engagement Award – Continental Resources; Environmental Stewardship Award – Crusoe Energy Systems Inc.; Distinguished Industry Leader Award – Brian Grote & Brian Rosendahl – Balon Valves; and Hall of Fame – Larry Dokken. 1 Million Cups to meet October 6 at Caffeinated
Williston Economic Development - One Million Cups Williston will be held on Wednesday, October 6 at 8:30 a.m. at Caffeinated at the Badlands Town Center. COVID-19 EIDL Grants available for Small Businesses
News Release - The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced major modifications to the 2020 COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program on September 8, 2021, including raising the maximum loans available from $500,000 to $2 million. The changes are intended to make it easier for small businesses such as restaurants, gyms and hotels to get access to more than $150 billion available for loans. The COVID-19 EIDL program, which will be in place until the end of 2021, and offers 30-year loans with fixed interest rates of 3.75 percent for small businesses, including sole proprietors and independent contractors, and 2.75 percent for not-for-profits. Federal Funds available for Child Care Providers
News Release - The North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Early Childhood Division is inviting all licensed or regulated North Dakota child care providers to apply for federally funded stabilization and recovery grants beginning now through August 2022. A variety of grant types are available, including stabilization, health and safety facility improvement, technology, inclusion, start-up, and quality improvement grants. Read More
