Delta County Health Department Becomes Delta County Public Health


Delta, Colorado (January 22, 2025) - Delta County Health Department is pleased to announce the name change to Delta County Public Health, effective January 22, 2025. This change reflects our continued commitment to serving the health and well-being of our community.


The updated name change emphasizes the department role in prompting public health through education, prevention and essential services. While the name is changing, our mission reminds us of the same: to promote, protect, and improve the health and well-being of our community.


"Our new name, Delta County Public Health reflects a pragmatic approach to better communicate what we do in the community as well as all public health encompasses," said Jacqueline Davis, Director of Delta County Public Health. "Our focus remains the same on protection, prevention, education and community well-being."


Delta County Public Health will continue to deliver vital services to the community, including:

●     Clinical and family health services

●     Immunizations and disease prevention

●     WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) services

●     Health education and outreach programs

●     Emergency preparedness and response

●     Maternal and child health services


Delta County Public Health continues its focus on fostering a healthier future for all by addressing root causes, empowering individuals, and building resilience across the county.
